SpotPass works automatically when your 3DS is connected to the internet, either through your own WiFi at home or work or through one of many WiFi hotspots that your 3DS will automatically link to. SpotPass is setup during initial system configuration, or during setup for a piece of software. Each piece of software will have its own SpotPass settings within Network Settings. If you have a SpotPass notification and the system is closed, the light in the top right hand corner of your 3DS will illuminate with a blue LED, with the system open, in the main 3DS menu, a small blue circle will appear in the bottom right hand corner of the software icon.
A SpotPass notification is simply a notice that appears in the Notifications listing on the top bar of your 3DS main menu. SpotPass content is the content that is actually downloaded through SpotPass for a piece of software. The SpotPass content was then downloaded each day without further notification other than the blue circle on the bottom right hand corner of the game icon. Where to StreetPass Guide. This part of the guide is based around StreetPassing in the UK, mainly London, if anyone outside of this area would like to contribute to this part of the guide please contact via the Contact Us page on the website.
Please see Nintendo Scenes Events guide for details of future and past events. If you are struggling for hits, try organising a StreetPass event meet in your area on Facebook, you might find that there are more people than you think also after a StreetPass fix.
You can see from our photos of the StreetPass London events at the London Eye, there are always hundreds of people around in that area, making it very safe for everyone attending. As you get StreetPass hits from other Nintendo 3DS users, you will build up your Mii Plaza population, which you can browse through at any time after and look at limited profile information from each Mii.
Puzzle Swap allows you to collect pieces from several different images in order to complete them and view a 3D image. You can also use play coins to collect a randomly generated puzzle piece from the puzzles you have left to complete, but unfortunately they are not always the pieces you need and any duplicate pieces are lost. The two StreetPass Quests allow you to battle ghosts through a series of rooms, collecting Hats that you Mii can wear.
The more you StreetPass the same person, the higher level their Mii becomes in your StreetPass Quest and the stronger their attacks and damage are. The option to buy potions has also been added, which allows you to negate some of the abilities of the new higher powered ghosts. Nintendo 3D TV.

Nintendo 3DS Sound. Passing someone with 3DS Sound enabled will allow you to swap track meta data track name, year, artist, genre for the music that you have set in your StreetPass list. Note that you will need to have a few hits with Nintendo 3DS Sound for anything to appear and if your songs do not have the metadata then this function will not work.
Dead or Alive: Dimensions. As you play Dead or Alive Dimension and increase in rank, the software builds up an AI StreetPass Fighter for you, which is then sent to other StreetPass users to battle and theirs to you. You can access these battles by clicking on Throwdown from the main menu.
Select the opponent you want to fight and begin a best of three battles. If you win, you get points towards your rank depending on the difference between theirs and your rank, e. If you win, you also get a figure to go in your 3D showcase.

Samurai Warriors: Chronicles. They always like it. However, you can't give a Special Food to a traveler, and you can't buy Special Food in any other way. Most of the foods are translated according to Wikipedia, which means in most cases, if you can't understand the translation literately, you can search it directly in Wikipedia to find the information. The traveler will take a photo with one of your islanders, and you can decide whether the photo can be sent to the home island of the traveler via SpotPass.
Even if you say No, the photo may still be sent without any Mii from your island. However, I personally think it would be much more interesting to see Miis from other islands so I hope you can choose Yes. However, the number of letters is limited and the pronunciation may be wrong.
Also, there's no guarantee that the message will be successfully passed along actually, it is more likely that the message cannot be passed along. You can also use Hair-color spray to change the traveler's hair color. That would be fun if you see your traveler comes back with a different hair color. When you leave the tent, you will be asked whether the traveler can go to bed. If you agree, you will not be able to do any more interactions. Otherwise, you can still go back to the tent before 5am next day.
You can say hello to them, but they will no longer go back to the tent. The last 2 items are exclusive to this second day tent event. Whether you will receive an item and which item you will receive are totally random.
If the player choose to send the photo or pass along a message or maybe not , the home island may receive a letter, or the traveler may visit home temporarily rarely happens. The parents will receive a letter, with photo and some other info island name, name of the islander in the photo if any , how many islands traveled so far, and Gratitude level. There is a variation of the letter which comes from StreetPass Relay Point Island, which has less information and the island is much smaller.
It seems that if you select Have a snack, you can still select Take a nap later. However, if you select Take a nap first, you may not able to Have a snack later.
Similar to islander's Happiness level, the traveler has a Gratitude level, and they work in the similar way. The traveler also has a Traveler Ranking measured by up to 5 stars. Also, the color of the traveler's cloth is decided by the Traveler Ranking: white for 1 star, gray for 2 stars, black for 3 stars, silver shiny for 4 stars, and golden shiny for 5 stars. Here you can check the following info.
Note: what you can see here is different from what other players can see. See Shared Info Privacy section for more information. There is no guarantee that the info is kept updated.
Actually, only few of them is correct. There are several reason that the info is not updated: other players forget to check the traveler during night, SpotPass feature is disabled, their 3DS is not connected to the Internet, or several SpotPass info come to your 3DS at the same time and only 1 is accepted.
Also, this Travel Records have nothing to do with the info in the Port, which means the Travel Records do not updated with any info from StreetPass. To unlock Island Ranking, you need to streetpass with 5 10 for JP version islands and have a traveler from your island; to unlock Traveler Ranking, you need to streetpass with 10 travelers.
Island Ranking is ranked by Quality of Life the number at the top left corner of the upper screen when viewing the whole island , while Traveler Ranking is ranked by number of Islands visited.
Your own island and travelers will also appear in these rankings. Note: for the Quality of Life, the value is always updated by the latest StreetPass so if you streetpass same islands multiply times, the last StreetPass info will be used here ; for the number of Islands visited, the value is obtained by comparing the number from both SpotPass see Traveler Records and StreetPass see Shared Info for the same traveler, and use the larger one.
The StreetPass feature of this game is not region-locked. You can streetpass with other islands from a different system region, and JP version can recognize the island from a different country without any update there is no update for more than 1 year. I think that mean the game was already planned for international release even before the JP version was released.
However, the pronunciation may not be correct between different regions. If any EU players have anything that you think I should add, please feel free to contact me. I often saw posts about Island Address, some players shared or exchanged their address, while others asked how to use them. The Island Address is useless. Maybe the only way that the Island Address is used is that the system can know if you streetpass the same island before and thus you can see each island only appears once in the Ranking Board or maybe it's not identified in such way.
Here is a list of all the info a player can see about another traveler or island. I know some players care about the privacy issue, and actually you don't need to worry about that. You can find island info from Port, Guest Book. There are 2 types of island info: the streetpassed island Islands , and the home island of a traveler the last 2 pages in Travelers.
Note that the traveler's parent's names are not shared by StreetPass. So they are not the latest info, and the home island info will never get updated. To get the spotpass characters you have to beat the spotpass maps. Once deactivated, the SpotPass was be re-activated after starting the game. The 3DS is absolutely still worth owning today, but it honestly depends on your gaming preferences as Nintendo no longer supports the console with new software.
