Which onyx member dies

For most of the game it could well be just a legend or they could have all died before the Greeks had a writing system. You may take this in two ways. One is that their demise is a certainty for the players, but can't be proven to the characters most likely. The other is that somehow it is proven beyond fair doubt that they existed but died, so believing in then is less like Christianity and more like Flat Earth.

On the first take little to nothing changes. Almost nothing was really predicated on the Antedilluvians existing and even the newcomers that diablerized some Ancients wouldn't change a lot if they didn't.

Tremere and Giovanni weren't leaders because of generation and the diablerie actually weakened their contact with their respective clans, as Tremere went into torpor and Augustus obsessed even more with the Underworld.

The diablerie of Antedilluvians was far more symbolic than anything in the formation of Sabbat, and they are the original Anarchs, far more preoccupied with their Elders. Fighting the Ancients was more of a religious theme than anything the Time of Judgement. And the Setites are a cult that don't even believe in the Noddist doctrine, believing Set was either 2nd gen, 1st gen, God or whatever.

Now, if even Setites must deal with the fact that Set is dead, or go full Flat Earth wacko, that can change The Sabbat must tinker a little more with their religion, but not a lot. More focus on god and less apocalyptic tone. Well, still apocalyptic, but in the original sense.

Same package, same content, but some changes in text in the gift card. The Camarilla would have an easier time convincing neonates that Gehenna is a silly superstition because Gehenna IS a silly superstition. The Setites would probably split even more, with most focusing more in the Gnostic aspects of their religion and taking Set more as an Exemplar, but a few would form a cult even more obsessively dedicated to finding and resurrecting their god, similar to some Protestant extremists.

I like the implications that idea would have for Augustus Giovanni; he thinks he's flubbed eating all of Cappadocius and is in a tizzy looking for the True Vessel because he should be more powerful, but doesn't realize he didn't screw up or if he did, finishing the job wouldn't really gain him anything.

Vamps Like Us. I'm not sure why the fourth generation Augustus Giovanni who in this scenario is the top of the food chain already would feel the need to war with his fellow Cappadocians. His will is so strong it creates a Giovanni Blood Line instead of Premascines being made by him pre eating of Cappadocious, all his Childer would have his clan flaw.

I also see no reason for him to go to war as no one is shocked and angered by Cappadocious death. The Giovanni are most likely an accepted bloodline as the other Cappadocian off shoots are, with the advantage of being lead by a member of the fourth gen. He had that same bewildered expression on his face Cecily did at the end. I think what works best about this comic is it makes a careful balance of making sure it's clear that all of the vampires in the city are evil bastards even Cecily but they're humanized.

Friends, loved ones, and lovers with the occasional act of utterly scummy violence. I also enjoyed Tim's take on the fact the Anarch vs. Camarilla thing is just theater even if I don't agree with it. Anarchs and Cammies are really just using the sects as an excuse to fight for power and reach across the isle whenever its conveinant. Calder Wendt should be grateful that Carfax is a Tremere, though, as he would have been executed for killing the Prince and fudging up the hunter response I will say the Moritician's Army was a disappointment, though, and will go down in history as the dumbest branch of the Second Inquisition we've seen.

The whole fact that they chose to attack at night, even if an hour before dawn, shows that they squandered a massive opportunity. A bunch of cocky sonsabitches who got themselves slaughtered for no good reason. I know there's no story if they attack during the day but smart vampires have an escape route and defenses or ghouls.

Do I wish this was an ongoing? Yes, very much so. Sadly, I don't know if we'll be getting anything after Crimson Thaw--especially with the writing and art team changeup. Tags: None. Toby Weingarten. What do you think the chances are that the plot will be made into an "official" supplement for V5? There are so many story hooks available that this all but screams to be into something more.
